Consider and take action on the Resolution regarding changes in trustee elections, including (1) authorizing joint elections with the City of Terrell beginning with the May 12, 2007 election; (2) authorizing a joint election agreement with the City of Terrell to provide election services on behalf of the District in the joint elections with the City of Terrell beginning with the May 12, 2007 election; (3) combining the geographic boundaries of Trustee Areas 1 and 3 for the sole purpose of creating a combined geography to be served by a common polling place to be shared with the City of Terrell in the joint election; and (3) authorizing the Superintendent to negotiate and execute all necessary agreements and submit changes to the U. S. Department of Justice for preclearance.
