4. Director's message: Update about Dyslexia
Description:
The new Dyslexia academies and expectations for the SLD workshop required from TEA will now make the testing and support from Dyslexia specialists (to participate in the evaluations for Dyslexia) a lot more difficult. After meeting this month with other directors and ESC 12, the diagnosticians will go through both of these courses (we have one year from this month to make it all happen) and they will be the person trained in Dyslexia and in SLD.

5. Director's Message: Sped Funding Pilot
Description:
I am not sure how many of you received an email about the pilot but we are being encouraged to help support gathering this data for the state to determine better funding. I have submitted the survey for all 7 districts and will wait to see what they need from us to make the determination.
