II.A. Discussion of Summer 2024 Work
Description:
Amy & Raf will provide updates on each of the ongoing summer projects.

II.A.1. Window, Siding & Door Work
Description:
Window & Siding replacement work continues to be moving along with no significant delays or change orders. Amy will share items approved by the Construction Committee that will be charged to the project allowance.

II.A.2. Fencing & Concrete Work
Description:
Fencing and concrete replacement at the Sullivan rear entrance began last week. Targeted completion is this Friday.

II.A.3. Landscaping Work
Description:
Landscaping work will begin at the east side of Ross & Sullivan on Tuesday, July 30th. Preliminary work will include the removal of several large bushes and trees at the Sullivan entrance. Trees will be replanted in early September.

II.A.4. Furniture Deliveries
Description:
Remaining summer furniture orders should all be delivered during the week ending August 9th. We are also waiting on furniture for the Special Education Coaches' Office at MacArthur and the OT/PT office at Eisenhower.

II.B. LED Lighting Opportunity
Description:
Amy & Raf have been in ongoing conversations with Commonwealth Edison through their vendor, Noor Industries, regarding an opportunity t o retrofit the existing T8 and T12 lighting fixtures, at essentially no cost to the District. Through a program with Commonwealth Edison, funds are available to municipalities and taxing bodies for energy efficiency improvements. Administration will continue to review and explore this option with a target install of Summer 2025.

II.C. Honeywell - Proposal of Revised Contract Renewal
Description:
Following a change in Honeywell management and review of the service coverage, revisions were requested that resulted in a reimbursement of approximately $15,000 from the 2023-24 year to the District. Additionally, we have the opportunity to revise the term at a reduced escalation (from 7% to 4%) on a three-year agreement. Administration is recommending the approval of the updated three-year agreement with Honeywell.

II.D. Updated Rental Agreements and Rates
Description:
Amy and Raf are in the process of reviewing and revising the facility rental rates, as they were last reviewed in 2021. Updated rental agreements for the two Polish schools and the DAY Group will be brought to the Board in August for approval.
