II.F. Window Shades - Discussion of Bid Timeline
Description:
As we look to save money where we can, an opportunity for cost savings was identified in the Windows,Siding and Door Replacement Project. Original estimates came in close to $500K. Amy has had meetings with ARCON's preferred designers/manufacturers to identify a roller shade solution that would be installed in each window following completion of each phase of windows.Preliminary pricing is closer to $75,000. Although the project will need to be bid, there is significant savings in having the district conduct the bidding process. A targeted bid process and timeframe will be discussed.
