VII. PUBLIC HEARING ON 2023-2024 ANNUAL BUDGET
Description:
On August 10, 2023, the Board of Education reviewed and approved the Tentative Budget for the 2023-2024 school year as drafted by the Business Office in consultation with the Finance Committee. In accordance with legal requirements, the Board published that the adopted Tentative Budget would be available for public inspection for a period of not less than 30 days.
At this time the Board wishes to conduct a Public Hearing for the purpose of presentation of the 2023-2024 Annual School Budget and to allow Board members and others to address the Board regarding the 2023-2024 Annual School Budget. May I please have a motion to open the Public Hearing on the 2023-2024 Annual School Budget. Moved: Seconded: Voice Vote: Time: At this time I would ask Mrs. McPartlin to address the Board with any necessary updates. VIII.E. Presentation of the Employee Information System (EIS) Report
Description:
Pursuant to Section 10-20.47 of the Illinois School Code, each school board must report to the Illinois State Board of Education, on or before October 1 each year, the base salary and benefits of the district superintendent and all administrators and teachers employed by the school district. Prior to filing this annual report to the Illinois State Board of Education, the information must be presented at a regular school board meeting and then posted on the Internet website of the school district.
Please accept these reports which are being posted on the District's website and reported to the Illinois Teachers' Retirement System as required by law.

IX. FINANCIAL REPORT
Description:
Attached is the memo recommending payment of the voucher lists for materials, supplies, and services paid since the last BOE meeting. In addition, the District payments for salaries and insurance benefits during the previous month are included for approval. Those documents are all included for your review.

X. SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT

X.A. Facilities and Financial Planning - PRESENTATION
Description:
Our partners from ARCON and Nicholas & Associates will join us for a presentation to the board regarding facilities and financial planning. This will include an overview of the Windows & Siding project, Security upgrades, and pricing for the Full Day Kindergarten solution at Eisenhower.

X.B. Approval and Adoption of 2023-2024 Annual Budget - ACTION
Description:
Earlier in the meeting, the public hearing for the Fiscal Year 2024 school district budget was held. Based upon the tentative budget being presented on August 10, 2023, the public being notified in the newspaper and on the website as required by law and the budget having been displayed for the minimum 30 days as required by law, the Board is ready to vote on the District budget for Fiscal Year 2024.

X.C. Interfund Transfer Resolution - ACTION
Description:
The administration is recommending the approval of two interfund transfers to help in mitigating the implications of the delay in Cook County property tax revenue.

X.D. School Maintenance Project Grant - ACTION
Description:
As discussed with Finance and Buildings and Sites, the State has opened a grant application window for school districts to apply for a matching grant, up to $50,000. We have completed the application for our planned summer 2024 windows, siding and door replacements at Ross, Sullivan and the Grodsky Administration Building. The Board president is required to sign off on the grant application.

X.E. Curriculum and Instruction Overview - INFORMATION
Description:
Dr. Craig Curtis, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning, has prepared an overview of department topics including adoption cycle, committee work, professional development and assessment.

Description:
