III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

IV. RECOGNITION OF VISITORS AND PARTICIPATION
Description:
At each regular and special open meeting, members of the public and District employees may comment on or ask questions of the Board of Education. If you would like to address the Board, please complete the form and give it to Mrs. O'Donnell, our recording secretary. The Board will be prepared to address those comments related to the agenda within a reasonable time. Communications sent to BOE@d23.org will be read by all Board members, but are not entered into public comment.

VIII. FINANCIAL REPORT
Description:
Attached is the memo recommending payment of the voucher lists for materials, supplies, and services paid since the last BOE meeting. In addition, the District payments for salaries and insurance benefits during the previous month are included for approval. Those documents are all included for your review.

IX. PUBLIC HEARING ON 2021 TAX LEVY
Description:
President: "On November 10, 2021 the Board of Education adopted an estimated tax levy for 2021 as developed by the Assistant Superintendent for Finance & Operations and the Finance Committee. At this time the Board wishes to conduct a Truth-in-Taxation Public Hearing for the purpose of allowing anyone to address the Board regarding the 2021 Certificate of Tax Levy."
OPENING: "May I please have a motion to open the Public Hearing on the 2021 Certificate of Tax Levy?" Motion: I move to open the Public hearing on the 2021 Certificate of Tax Levy. X.D. Annual Immunization Compliance Report - INFORMATION
Description:
The Annual Immunization Compliance Report is filed with ISBE and shows 99.5% compliance. Our nurses track and document immunization records and exemptions while supporting parents to access required services. At the time of the reporting, 7 students were excluded due to noncompliance.

X.E. Extended Day Program - Fee Review - INFORMATION
Description:
Mrs. McPartlin and EDP Director, Kris Lebrecht have met to discuss program enrollment and fees for the 2022-23 school year. At this time, Administration is not recommending an increase in fees for the coming school year.

X.F. Annual Statement of Affairs - INFORMATION
Description:
The Annual Statement of Affairs is a summary of all operational receipts and expenditures and includes amounts paid to personnel by the District. Illinois School Code requires districts to file their Statement of Affairs on an annual basis. It must also be posted on the District's website and published in a local newspaper.

X.G. Adoption of 2021 Tax Levy - ACTION
Description:
At the November 2021 meeting of the BOE, the Tentative Levy for 2021 was approved. Following this evening's Public Hearing, Administration recommends approval of the 2021 Tax Levy and the 2021 Supplemental Levy for Debt Services as presented.
I make a motion to approve the 2021 Tax Levies as presented.

X.H. Recommendation for Approval of Bids for 2022 Roofing Work at MacArthur Middle School and Anne Sullivan Elementary School - ACTION
Description:
Bids were received and opened on November 23, 2021. A total of twelve (12) bids were received. The apparent low bidder at the time of bid opening was Crowther Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. Mr. Ziaja and Arcon Associates, Inc. have fully vetted Crowther and their understanding of the scope of work, schedule, and project details. We recommend approving the 2022 Roofing Work in the amount of $857,000 as presented.
