2. PUBLIC COMMENT
Description:
The public comment portion of each board meeting shall be used as a forum for the public or employees to present items of information to the Board of Education. We are doing this to be responsive to the community. Due to the confidentiality provision contained in the Texas Public Information Act, Family Education Rights to Privacy Act and other state and federal laws, no speaker will be allowed to demean employees of the school district or discuss students. Each speaker that is recognized shall limit the presentation to five minutes. A delegation of five or more persons shall appoint one person to present their view to the Board. Due to a possible violation of the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Board shall make no response.

3. CLOSED MEETING STATEMENT
Description:
IF, DURING THE COURSE OF THE MEETING, DISCUSSION OF ANY ITEM ON THE AGENDA SHOULD BE HELD IN A CLOSED MEETING, THE BOARD WILL CONDUCT A CLOSED MEETING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEXAS OPEN MEETINGS ACT, TX. GOV'T CODE, CHAPTER 551.146, SUBCHAPTERS D AND E. BEFORE ANY CLOSED MEETING IS CONVENED, THE PRESIDING OFFICER WILL PUBLICLY IDENTIFY THE SECTION OR SECTIONS OF THE ACT AUTHORIZING THE CLOSED MEETING. ALL FINAL VOTES, ACTIONS, OR DECISIONS WILL BE TAKEN IN OPEN MEETING.
