Recommended Motion(s):
Approve the increase of $850 on the base and establish the bereavement leave as; Employees shall be entitled to leave with pay for a maximum of three
(3) days total in the event of the death of a Family Member. A Family Member is defined as: spouse, children, step-children, foster children, in-laws (brother, sister, father, mother, son, or daughter-in-law),parent, step-parent, or guardian, grandparent or great-grandparent,grandchild, aunt or uncle, and niece or nephew. Such bereavement leave shall not count against any accumulated sick leave. Employees shall be entitled to one (1) day of bereavement leave for non-family members, to attend funeral services, such leave shall be deducted from any accumulated sick or personal leave. Bereavement leave may be used only during the five (5) calendar day period commencing with the date of death unless the funeral or memorial service will be held outside this 5 day calendar period. passed with a motion by Board Member #1 and a second by Board Member #2.
