The first of tonight’s honored guests is our East Middle School Rube Goldberg Team. These students placed 3rd place in the 2021 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest. The team competed against others from across the country and the world to successfully pour a box of Nerds candy using a number of different steps. We are happy to congratulate them!

Health Services Team Recognition
Now, we would like to recognize and honor our health services team. Together they have taken on the duties of a global pandemic while still tending to the health and medical needs of our students on a day-to-day basis. Tonight, we have invited them here to personally thank them for their service to the district. They have gone above and beyond.

Custodian Personnel Recognition
We’d also like to recognize another employee group, our custodians. Tonight, we have our head custodians in attendance. Our custodians have also tackled the global pandemic head on with constant disinfection and cleaning of our buildings while still tending to the day-to-day maintenance of our buildings. We would also like to personally thank them for their service to the district. They have gone above and beyond.

Winter Athletics Wrap-Up
Matt Hanson, Athletic Director, will give an update.

In order to place student teachers in the Shakopee School District, we need an agreement signed by Shakopee school board members and Luther College.
