National Honor Society Fundraiser
Our first Saber Pride item may make you a bit chilly, but will also warm your heart. Faced with the challenges of COVID-19 guidelines, the students in the National Honor Society at Shakopee High School went viral with a campaign to raise money to benefit Children’s Hospitals of Minnesota.It’s called the Angels for Kids Fundraiser and much like the ALS Bucket Challenge that went viral on social media several years ago, participants are being asked to film themselves doing a challenge. But instead of pouring a bucket of ice water on yourself as part of the challenge, participants are being asked to make snow angels without winter clothes. Videos are then posted to social media with a challenge to their followers that are tagged. So far, the campaign has raised nearly $10,000! We are so proud of the hard work of our NHS students and their dedication to helping others! There is still time to participate.
