BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Rick Sansted will share with the board the "206 Points of Pride." The persons being recognized this month are: Jessica Chipman has been named the Minnesota Educational Theater Association Educator of the Year for 2021. Coach Tim Zupfer was named both Section 8AAA Girls Golf Head Coach of the Year and State AAA Girls Golf Head Coach of the Year. Fourteen Alexandria Area High School graduates and current students have been named 2021 AP Scholars based on their performance on Advanced Placement (AP) exams. The awards given and students recognized include:

Darcy Josephson will present the 2021-2022 school site improvement goals and action plans. These plans utilize assessment results from the 20-21 school year. The building goals have been reviewed by the Curriculum/Policy Committee. RECOMMENDATION: The administration recommends the board approve the 2021-2022 School Site Improvement Goals as presented. |

VII.B. APPROVE 2021 PAYABLE 2022 PRELIMINARY TAX LEVY

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Trevor Peterson will provide a summary of the 2021 Payable 2022 preliminary property tax levy information and answer questions regarding the levy proposal. The summary is an overview of the state levy document that involves many pages of data and computations. The 2021 Payable 2022 preliminary property tax levy limitation is a decrease of $52,620.01 (or -0.62%) for a total levy limitation of $16,235,555.98. *Due to continual calculation changes, these figures are subject to change leading up to the board meeting. Further discussion will take place at the time of the meeting. RECOMMENDATION: The administration recommends the board approve the preliminary property tax levy for 2021 Payable 2022 at the maximum state allowable amount. |
