V.1. Update to Arkansas Better Chance Program Renewal Grants 2025-2026 Program Year

Description:
The Office of Early Childhood Education (OEC) requests approval for updates to the previously approved Arkansas Better Chance Program Renewal Grants for the 2025-2026 program year.
ABC is requesting to support foster children as well as homeless/displaced children as the need arises. ABC provides waivers for identified children to receive immediate services. The placement of a foster care and/or displaced child in an ABC program will add a per child award above the amount awarded for that program's slots during the 2025-2026 year. OEC requests State Board of Education approval for 2025-2026 Arkansas Better Chance Program Renewal Grants in the total amount of $105,554,906.00. OEC is also requesting to use $500,000 of the 2025-2026 budget to provide summer services.
