Description:
This time is set aside for the public to make comments on items within the authority of this Board and are not for Board interaction. Matters raised cannot be deliberated or acted upon until properly placed on a future agenda. Comments that are irrelevant, repetitious, slanderous, offensive, inflammatory, willfully disruptive or deemed personal attacks will not be permitted. A Request to Speak form must be completed and submitted to the Board Secretary before the Public Input is open. A time limit of 3 minutes per person or 5 minutes for the spokesperson for a group will be imposed.

DESIGNATE THE NYE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY AS LEGAL COUNSEL TO PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE AT BOT/COMMITTEE MEETINGS, MATTERS CONCERNING THE PUBLICATION OF MEETING AGENDAS AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE BY THE BOT AND ACCEPTED BY THE NYE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY PURSUANT TO NRS 252.110, FOR POSSIBLE ACTION

Description:
The BOT will discuss and decide what legal matters could be assigned to the Nye County District Attorney to act as counsel for the Nye County School District, which designation shall be binding on all employees and personnel of the District. Such matters may, but are not limited to adoption or modification of Board policies, duties and obligations of BOT members and officers and employees of the District; disciplinary matters; contract reviews, and labor matters.

8. SETTING DATE AND TIME FOR POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING, FOR POSSIBLE ACTION

Discussion, deliberation, and possible action to set meeting date and discuss policies that need to be revised and/or amended.

9. SCHEDULE BOARD OF TRUSTEES WORKSHOP TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE NYE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO DISCUSS ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS AND GUIDELINES FOR THE BOT AND THE SUPERINTENDENT, FOR POSSIBLE ACTION
