8.A. Approval of Board Members' Attendance at MASB 2024 Summer Institute Workshop, August 16, - August 18, 2024.
Description:
Trustees Corporan and Smith have signed up to attend the MASB 2024 Summer Institute, which will be held from August 16, 2024, to August 18, 2024, in Gaylord, MI. They will be staying for 2 nights. Under normal circumstances, this registration would require approval as an agenda item. However, since the board is not meeting until August 26th, arrangements have been made without prior approval. This matter will be added to the August 26th agenda. Please let me know if you have any concerns regarding this registration or reservation.

8.F. Approval of Abatement Renovation at Oak Park High School and Nova Discipline Academy Training Center.
Description:
On July 30, 2024, the Oak Park School District received bids for the Training Center/Nova Academy abatement project. The district received a total of 5 bidders and is recommending the award to Quality Environmental Services. OPHS Training Center project is scheduled to start October 2024 and the Nova Project is scheduled for June 2025. The breakdown of abatement services is as follows: OPHS (Training Center): $35,000 Nova: $85,000 The recommendation is to approve Quality Environmental at an amount of $120,000 plus a 10% contingency of $12,000 for a total amount of $130,000.
